Untitled n°123 marks a decisive shift in the series: the quiet looping weave gives way to a dense, wind-swept field of gesture. Deep greens and teals build a nocturnal thicket, over which long white and silver strokes sweep like light — or wind — cutting through foliage in a single continuous motion.
The surface is alive with counter-currents. Slender arcs of yellow, lime and orange flare through the dark like sparks; navy and black lines dive and coil beneath the pale sweeps, giving the tangle depth and undertow. Nothing is still. The whole canvas leans, as though caught in the instant a gust passes through dense growth.
Where the lighter works of the series settle into calm, this one holds movement itself — the charged, breathing energy of nature in motion. It is less a place to rest the gaze than a current to be carried by: turbulence rendered, paradoxically, as a kind of exhilaration.
